Description
Learn to sew with stretch or knit fabrics in this beginner-friendly workshop! The Tilly and the Buttons ‘Coco’ pattern is an ideal introduction to sewing jersey and can be made using either a sewing machine or an overlocker.
During the workshop, you will create a comfortable and stylish tunic top or dress with a choice of necklines.
What you will learn/achieve
Measuring accurately so you can selecting the right size
Preparing fabric and pattern pieces - making adjustments if needed
Sewing techniques for stretch fabrics
What's included
Hands-on support throughout the day to ensure you leave with a finished garment you love!
Coco printed sewing pattern (RRP £18.50) to keep
Use of our Pfaff machines in Stitching Kitchen's fully equipped studio.
Tea or coffee and homemade cake

Fabric and notions - list will be provided on booking
Workshop materials kits will be available around a month before the workshop.

Please note that this workshop is held in our light and spacious first floor studio at Stitching Kitchen, which is accessible by stairs.
About your tutor
Hannah has been crafting since she was a child, she loves textile art, making with fabric, thread and fibre. She teaches and shares her passion and skills in textile art, felt making and also dressmaking and quilting.
